The 2023 Distributor Meeting was packed with activities that enabled distributors to expand their knowledge of various aspects of cleaning technologies and analytical instruments and measurements, especially through hands-on training and informative discussions.
During the hands-on trainings, the distributors acquired the skills to determine the bath concentration via titration and investigated material compatibility within different cleaning processes. They also had the opportunity to gain more knowledge about analytical instruments such as the Hydac contamination test unit (CTU). This instrument, together with microscope inspection, permits particle measurements and eventually comparison between cleaning processes. Additionally, they learned how to take a bath sample correctly and which points are crucial to observe to obtain reliable analytical results. Finally, distributors explored the various functions of ultrasonics with Weber Ultrasonics AG.
On the second day, the group visited the Swiss m4m Center in Bettlach, where they acquired information about 3D printed parts and the cleaning challenges that come with them. Upon returning, the group brainstormed about parts cleaning in aircraft manufacturing, which is an emerging field in the industry. Gain deeper insights into the hands-on trainings, watch the video!
