From an Idea to an International Brand
The story of Borer Chemie AG began in 1965 with detex®11, an innovative liquid cleaner for laboratory glassware. With visionary entrepreneurial spirit and a clear mission, the young company quickly expanded internationally with the successor brand deconex®, which soon became synonymous with superior cleaning performance.
Milestones such as the construction of the headquarters in Zuchwil in 1979 laid the foundation for continued growth. Today, more than 130 employees in Switzerland, Germany, and China are part of this success story, which continues to thrive with passion and innovation.

As early as the 1980s, the company recognised the need to expand into new markets, leveraging its expertise in residue-free cleaning of laboratory glassware to diversify into a wide range of applications – from medical instrument reprocessing to the optical and watchmaking industries, and life sciences.
